Design

Since the age of 14, when he programmed a graphical adventure game inspired by late nights with Zork, Daniel has been fascinated by the process of creating compelling emotional experiences on computers.

Daniel lead the development of the Van Gogh Museum’s e-commerce site in the late 1990s. In the early 2000s he led the development teams that created the online experiences that accompanied the museum’s landmark Gauguin and Potato Eaters exhibitions. These web experiences were neither film nor web site, but drew upon the strengths of both media to form something entirely new. They won an ID Magazine Bronze prize and a nomination for a Cannes CyberLion in 2001 while drawing more than a quarter-million visitors
