At a somewhat smaller scale he is the chairperson and co-founder of the foundation Reflecting, which organises Reflecting the Internet, a periodic event that examines the influence of the Internet on our commercial, economic, social, and cultural lives.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel sits on the board of directors of the <a href=\"http:\/\/internetmemory.org\/en\">Internet Memory Foundation<\/a>, a digital library of cultural artefacts and a sister organisation of the Internet Archive. It preserves our common global cultural heritage by providing free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel created the Weekly Mail &amp; Guardian Rotterdam School of Management Scholarship, was the Secretary General of the Internet Society\u2019s European Co-ordinating Council, and a founding board member of ISOC.NL.
